Welcome Week

Start the semester off strong at Welcome Week! Visit the Welcome Week tents in the New Westminster Concourse and the Coquitlam Atrium during the first week of classes. We're ready to welcome you to campus and offer you guidance. You can also check out upcoming events and volunteering opportunities there!

EDGE

EDGE is a social, action-packed event for new students. Students have the opportunity to make friends and explore the campus in an interactive way. This event involves setting up with a team and getting to know your peers while taking part in fun and challenging team-building activities. This event is designed to help new students feel confident in the college community and more comfortable adjusting to college life. 

EDGE is on Friday, Sept. 20. All new students are welcome to participate. Space is limited and fills up fast.

Friday Hangouts

Friday Hangouts is an in-person bi-weekly event to keep you connected throughout the semester. Each hangout has a different theme filled with fun and interactive activities. You’ll connect with your peers, play games, and learn tips and skills to help you succeed at college. Register for any dates that interest you—or all of them. We can't wait to hang out with you!  All students are welcome to participate.

New Student Campus Tours

Starting classes on campus for the first time? Continue your orientation journey in person by attending our campus tours. Campus tours will be offered during Welcome Week at 11am and 1pm at both campuses on a drop-in basis. Drop by the Ask Me Tent or email Student Life (studentlife@douglascollege.ca) to sign up. Familiarize yourself with where your classes are located, where you can find student services and more.
